Funchal Design Hotel - Funchal (Madeira)

My stay was made nice by the unusual layout of my spacious apartment and the warm, attentive service from the staff. The hotel’s quirky artistic decor also added a fun twist to my visit.

Room was sweet as, heaps spacious with a funky design! Breakfast could've had more variety and the staff was a bit hit and miss with friendliness.

The king room is modern, we also liked particularly nice views. It includes central heating, multi-channel TV, and a study table. All in all they offer great service. The hotel has very helpful staff.

I asked for king room with views of the fort and cable TV plus very comfortable beds, had a perfect stay. The location was excellent and stunning, the staff were amazingly efficient.

The breakfast choices were great with egg dishes and fruit.

The reception area felt cramped and lacked proper seating. We encountered issues with bedside table arrangements, which left one side of the bed without any space for personal items. The lighting in the room was insufficient for reading comfortably.

Good location and efficient staff. Room design was interesting and different. All requests were immediately and competently handled.

We do not like air conditioning and the side street was pretty noisy with open windows.

Excellent location and facilities. We had a perfect stay with easy access to the town without being out on the hotel strip. Easy access to restaurants, shops and buses to explore the island. We could not fault the whole experience at the hotel.

Comfortable room, friendly service, with great location for exploring the city, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options to start the day.

The place is fairly clean, the room is practical, the staff is amazingly efficient and excellent. It has magnificent and amazing location steps away from Blandy's Wine Lodge Distillery. It is undoubtedly a beautifully designed option when in Funchal.

Excellent location, just a short walk to the marina. Unfortunately, the bathroom door design lacks privacy.

I really appreciated the kindness of the girls working at the reception, and the quality of the dishes available at the hotel's restaurant at a very reasonable prices. I also liked the position of the hotel and its small number of rooms, which makes it a tiny jewel in the heart of Funchal.

The apartment was surprisingly spacious, with a fun and unique layout. The location is convenient, close to numerous shops.

Great place with fab staff

My partner and I had such a lovely stay! The location's perfect, just a stroll to the marina. We really enjoyed the in-room breakfast. It was nice to start our day in comfort. The only bummer was that the room got a bit noisy at night. Still, the friendly vibe made everything worth it!
